Theme of the week: Bubbles!

Maya and I discovered the wonder of bubbles last week - bubble bombs with baking soda and vinegar (only 1 of the 3 actually exploded but never mind!), bubble art using food colouring in the bubble mixture and, of course, lots and lots of bubble blowing! We tried different mixtures and blowers and found that the very best bubbles come from a mix of 3 parts Johnson's baby shampoo to 1 part water with a bit of glycerin thrown in for good measure, blown through a paper cone. The bubbles were so strong that Maya could even catch and hold them, and they were absolutely huge!

The web :D We decide on a theme and then I do a search for activities. Tbh, the bubble theme was a bit boring, though it might just have been that we all had colds and weren't feeling much like getting into it. This week's theme is autumn and we've found TONS of fun stuff to do!
