Maya has been in trouble a fair bit recently for whining. It's been a struggle to get her to think first and whine second, as her default is to start whining and crying as soon as she begins to feel frustrated about something.
She asked me if I wanted to play Shopping List, so I replied that I would but that she needed to get it set up first and then I would come and play with her. When I walked back into the room, she was sitting with all the Shopping List pieces scattered around her, drumming her heels on the floor and making a fizzing sound through her clenched teeth.
As soon as she saw me, she adamantly stated:
"I'm not whining! I'm saying FZZZZZZZZZZZT!"
At least she's found a vent for her frustrations that doesn't set my teeth on edge :D

Oh my, she is just too much! What is her consequence for whining? I'd love to hear Fzzzzzz rather than whines.
Whatever toy she's playing with is instantly removed. I used to give warnings and it wasn't working at all, so we moved to a permanent "whine and you lose it" strategy, which appears to be bearing fruit (hopefully haven't spoken too soon there!)
oh, yes...the whining. Gianna's been sick and that's the FIRST thing she does about everything...brushing her teeth, more juice, more food, nap time...ugh!
Well worth the wait - all these new pics are lovely. Hope Jungle wasn't too unhappy after his trip to the vet yesterday. Glad to see the balloons looked good.
